Laundry Care & Damage Policy

Laundry Day Valet takes reasonable care when handling and processing your laundry. By submitting laundry to us, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

• Laundry is not separated by colour.
Our standard service does not separate laundry by colour. If you require your laundry to be separated by colour, an additional charge applies and the Colour Separation option must be selected when placing your order.
• Non-Contact Pickup & Delivery.
For non-contact pickups, customers are responsible for ensuring their laundry is securely placed at the designated pickup location until it is collected by Laundry Day Valet. Laundry Day Valet is not responsible for laundry that is lost, stolen, damaged or otherwise affected before it has been collected by us.
For non-contact deliveries, Laundry Day Valet will place the completed order at the customer’s designated delivery location. Once the order has been delivered and placed at the designated location, the customer assumes responsibility for the laundry. Laundry Day Valet is not responsible for laundry that is subsequently lost, stolen, damaged or otherwise affected after delivery.
• We do not check pockets.
Please remove all money, valuables, electronics, pens, medications and other items from pockets before handing over your laundry. Laundry Day Valet does not check pockets and is not responsible for money, valuables or other items left in pockets, or for damage caused by items left inside clothing.
• We do not inspect individual care labels.
Items submitted to our standard wash-and-fold service will be assumed to be suitable for regular machine washing and drying. Please do not include items requiring dry cleaning, hand washing, special temperatures, special detergents or other specialized care.
• Special instructions must be provided when ordering.
If your laundry requires special handling or has specific washing instructions, these requirements must be communicated to us and the applicable service or option must be selected when placing your order. Laundry Day Valet is not responsible for special handling instructions that were not provided at the time of ordering.
• Damage and normal wear.
Laundry Day Valet is not responsible for normal wear, pre-existing damage, colour bleeding, fading, shrinkage or damage resulting from the characteristics, condition, construction or care requirements of an item, except where applicable law provides otherwise.
• Lost or damaged items.
If Laundry Day Valet is determined to be responsible for a lost or damaged item, our maximum compensation will be 10 times the processing fee charged for that individual item, where permitted by applicable law.
• Lost laundry bags or orders.
If an entire laundry bag or order is lost while in our care, Laundry Day Valet will investigate the matter. Where Laundry Day Valet is determined to be responsible, compensation will be subject to the maximum compensation described above and applicable law.
• Sets and matching items.
Where only part of a set or pair is lost or damaged, compensation will be considered for the affected individual item rather than automatically for the entire set.
• Unclaimed laundry.
Customers are responsible for collecting or accepting delivery of their laundry and paying all applicable charges. Laundry left unclaimed or refused after reasonable attempts to contact the customer may be subject to storage charges and other measures permitted by applicable law.
• Report problems promptly.
Any missing or damaged items should be reported within 48 hours of delivery so we can investigate the issue while order and processing information is readily available.

By submitting your laundry to Laundry Day Valet, you acknowledge that you have read and accepted this policy.

Nothing in this policy limits any rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable Ontario law.
